UKBJJA Scottish Nationals 2022
The United Kingdom Brazilian JiuJitsu Association proudly presents the first UKBJJA Scottish Nationals which will take place on the weekend of 16th/17th April.
The event will take place at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility Motherwell, Scotland. It is open to UKBJJA members only, either individual members or those whose club has a bronze, silver or gold club membership and have been allocated a membership via this.
This is a UKBJJA ranked event with a status of X3.
JUNIOR/JUVENILES DIVISIONS SATURDAY 16TH PM
ADULTS/MASTERS SUNDAY 17TH ALL DAY
Early entry price is £30 for adults and for juniors and juveniles it's £20. These prices run until 29th of January at midnight.
Normal entry price is £40 for adults and for juniors and juveniles it's £30. These prices run until the 27th of February at midnight.
Late entry price is £50 for adults and for juniors and juveniles it's £40 . These prices run until the close of entries at midnight on the 4th of April
All age and weight categories as per IBJJF rules.
A Level 3 (Theory) UKBJJA referee's course will take place at the venue on the morning of Saturday the 16th of April. Registration for this can be found here: - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/239889364547
A Level 2 (Practical) UKBJJA referee's course will take place at the venue on Sunday 17th of April. This is open to UKBJJA members who have already passed L3 and will consist of refereeing matches under the supervision of head referee Marcello Coppa. All junior and juvenile divisions will take place on the afternoon of Saturday the 16th of April, with all adult and masters divisions taking place on Sunday the 17th of April.
All divisions will be run on a single elimination basis. Competitors who medal in their weight division will be eligible to enter the openweight division for their belt level. Winners of each absolute division will receive free entry to the UKBJJA International Open which will be held this year in London on the 22nd and 23rd of October. The best junior and juvenile athletes (male and female) as determined by the rankings at each belt will also receive this award.
Closing date for all entries will be midnight on Sunday the 3rd of April no entries will be accepted after this point and initial brackets will be available by no later than Monday April 4th.
Competitors can use the Smoothcomp system to make a change in weight division up until midnight on Saturday the 9th of April, no changes in division will be considered after this date and any competitor who fails to make weight on the day will be disqualified without any possibility of refund. All payments must be made via Smoothcomp ahead of the event.
All competitors must make weight on our scales. There are no allowances given.
Full refunds will be available for any athlete who cancels their entry via Smoothcomp at any point during early and normal registration. Athletes who cancel during late registration will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be possible for athletes who cancel after registration closes.
Spectators may be allowed depending on Scottish Government regulations at the time of the event. There will be strict limits on the numbers attending and all relevant local legislation must be followed at all times.
