Junior and Juvenile Division Information
The following procedures will be in place for all junior and juvenile divisions.
All staff will have current DBS scheme membership or equivalent from their home nation.
The foremost duty of any referee is the safety of the competitors under their charge. This is especially true for our junior competitors. Referee's will use their judgement to stop matches before any damage occurs. As with all referee's decisions these are final and we have a zero tolerance policy for any abuse of officials.
Any child needing first aid treatment will be treated by a minimum of 2 first aiders with parent/guardian or coach present.
In the event of a child having no matches in their division we will offer via the club coach the facility for the child to move up either one weight division or one age category. We will not allow combinations of this or moves greater than one age/weight bracket. We will also not mix belts or genders.
In the event a child has no possible mergers a full refund will be issued.
The rankings for the top Junior and Juvenile are calculated as follows: -
9 points are awarded for gold in a division
3 for silver
1 for bronze
Additionally: -
3 points are awarded for each win by submission
2 points are awarded for each win by points
1 point is awarded for each win by decision or DQ.
No points are awarded for advancing in the event of a walkover.
